Organizing an Arson Watch Program
August 6, 2010
A wide variety of participants are needed to launch a successful Neighborhood Arson Mobile Watch program. In this section, necessary participants are listed, along with a description of the kind of support needed from each. As many of you know, implementing a community-based project requires the interest, cooperation, and support from many people. But it all is definitely worthwhile!
Increasing the safety of a neighborhood benefits everyone from children and parents, to local businesses. Not only does reducing arson activities in our area increase everyone’s quality of life, but it can also help increase property values. We are aiming for zero tolerance for arsons and quicker response from natural fires.

Arson Watch Program Agency Interaction
July 3, 2010
This years fire season has already started and so far the score is showing the fire fighters in the lead with several large fires under their belts in California, Nevada and Arizona. So far in 2005 we have not had any huge or "Mega Fires" yet, cross your fingers that our luck continues. If you are worried about your community after the very wet season of Winter 2005 and the tremendous growth you may want to consider starting an Arson Watch Program. If you decide to go for it and set up a team of volunteers to watch out for arson there are a few things you should know about. I have written a free online 21-page E-Book, which you are welcome to read if you are thinking of starting such a group. It is available:

The most important thing when setting up a community arson watch program is to involve the local agencies such as the fire department, police and any nearby Federal Agencies for instance the USDA Forest Service and/or BLM; bureau of land management. Here are some quick pointers to assist you.

The Real Desire for the UK House Buyer
May 31, 2010
Location location location, central heating, air conditioning, double glazing, good neighbours, good schools and a long lease these are just some of the factors that buyers consider when buying a property. So it was some surprise when we learnt that that new UK research (Jan 05) commissioned by the Homebuyer Show revealed something completely different.
The survey reports that 72 per cent of home buyers say good security is rated as being more important when making a buying decision than a home overall condition and size.
Home buyers also ranked security above other key house buying factors such as the quality of the neighbourhood and local facilities.
Less important when deciding on a property is the state of the interior decor, 51 per cent regarded this as irrelevant.
One in three buyers are unconcerned by the provision of lack schools and a similar amount were indifferent of the size and state of a property’s garden.

The study also looked at the improvements and gadgets which security again topped the list again with homebuyers regarding a state of the art security system as being more desirable than kitchen gadgets and plush designer furnishings.
Numbers That Can Save Your Life
April 28, 2010
It’s one of those things we don’t give a second thought about. Many of us move into a house and never even change the number that’s on the house. Why should you, it’s the right number and that’s all that matters. Well it may be the right number but can you see it at night or from the road? If there is an emergency and you have to call an ambulance, you certainly don’t want them wasting valuable seconds looking for your home. Having a visible house number both day and night is critical.
Two important products have been joined together to make some great products. They are the LED light and the solar cell. By combining the two we now have solar powered illuminated house numbers. There are so many streets across the country, that have little or no street lighting. In rural areas there is often a group of mailboxes for several properties. These homes have no house numbers at all. Imagine the time lost trying to pinpoint the right house.
Securing Home Water Supplies; Conservation of Water Planning
March 25, 2010
Generally when it rains the water runs off the house and yards into the gutter and into pipes or storm drains which feed it into the river, stream or ocean. This conventional approach is problematic in that many of the countries regions are in severe drought. As we expand our population base we will see issues where the growth and water usage far exceed the regional annual rainfalls. This will indeed over tax the water supplies and cause issues with exacerbated droughts and lengthy recoveries. Eventually if kept unchecked we will be in perennial drought in most of our nation.
In Waukesha, Wisconsin a company named Bielinshi Homes has a more conservative approach. The rain water or snow melt running off the home is send into the soil through the surrounding shrubbery and sinks into the ground water table. Using a local swale, prairie or wetland type scenario the water is recaptured and reused as ground water filtered by the soil and taken back out by use of wells. Also of importance in the use of bioswales is that it is cheaper to install than pipes or storm drains with a massive rain gutter system. Landscape maintenance is also reduced to a large degree and the water is retained in the region rather than starting its long journey to the sea.
Security Cameras For Your Peace of Mind
February 20, 2010
The reasons for installing cctv cameras are the same whether you own a home or business. Protecting your property, family and employees is probably at the top of your list of priorities. You’re not the only one that feels that way. Sales of home and business security systems have exploded in recent years. Even before 9/11, security system sales were on the rise. After the terrorist attacks, sales of home and business security cameras rose by as much as 20% over the course of three months.
The rise in sales of security cameras is justified by the results. Police in most major cities say that the chances of a break-in or robbery are nearly cut in half by the presence of an obvious security camera on the premises. Business owners report that theft by both customers and employees is nearly eliminated when they install the right security camera system. And we’ve certainly all seen the dramatic footage taken by home security video cameras that have led to the conviction of criminals who have abused children, burglarized homes or otherwise broken the law.
What can security cameras do for your peace of mind?

Protect Your Family From Solar Flares
January 18, 2010
Protect your family from solar flares. Solar flares emit dangerous gamma radiation, which affects everything from gravity waves to the Earth’s tectonic system. These solar flares are dangerous to human life. The Gamma Radiation is dangerous to the human bio system. Many severe solar flares can cause cancer and It heats up the atmosphere and can drastically change weather patterns too. We have had some serious solar flares in the last few years, which have affected our lives. Some say that Earthquakes are in part due to the disruption of the natural electromagnetic distribution of the Earth along with causing disruptions in gravity waves.
One group of scientists and future prediction study group is calling for a huge solar flare which could kill 2 billion humans if it occurs on the side of the sun where they Earth is passing thru. That is pretty drastic indeed. It could cause massive seismic activity, cook you alive or kill all the crops and many might starve. These scientists and remote viewer people are not anyone you wish to quote in the mass media. We know as the sun gets older and perhaps within ten billion years the sun will expand and cook the Earth before it burns out. This would be a very bad day for Earthlings indeed.
How to Keep Your Postal Mail Private and Secure
December 15, 2009
Surreptious opening of most envelopes sent through the mail takes little effort and only minimal skill. Instructions are readily available on the Internet and in books suc as “CIA Flaps and Seals Manual” (Paladin Press).
While your mail is in the hands of the postal service it is relatively secure from outside snooping but readily available to postal employees and the alphabet soup of government agencies that may, for whatever reason, take an interest in your private correspondence. If your mail is delivered to your home, perhaps to a box at the end of your driveway, someone can easily remove your mail before you do, unless you are waiting when the postment delivers it.
LET ME ASK YOU THIS…
If a private investigation or neighborhood snoop removed private letters from your mailbox, carefully opened them, recorded the contents, and then resealed them and returned them to your mailbox, would you know it? If you received a letter in the mail on Wednesdays instead of tuesday, would you be aware that it had been missing that day?

Infrared Goggle Pop Down in Hallways for Structure Fires
November 11, 2009
Most people who are killed in structure fires die from the smoke not the flames or fire. Generally they are overcome by the smoke and lack of oxygen as the fire takes all the oxygen and replaces the airspace with smoke. There needs to be a way to get these people out of the fire situation and structure immediately to prevent loss of life, however without good visibility one cannot see to get to a fire escape, stairway or exit.
I propose a drop system similar to the one’s used on aircraft when there is a breach in the system and the pressurization is lost. In the event of a fire inexpensive goggles with infrared lenses would drop from the ceiling near the fire hoses and alarms. The goggles would have lenses, which would be small pieces of film similar to the paper sunglasses, which are given out at the 3D movies. The goggles would keep the smoke from the person’s eyes and allow them to see thru the smoke to escape.
